How is Your Web Image?

Here are Some things to Ponder when Looking at your Web Image:

Your site should have a desired response?
An effective website has a clear “call to action” on the home page. Many websites feature a graphic that stands out with a phone number so visitors can easily know what number to use to call in. (we highly recommend having your phone number at the top of every page so visitors know how to reach you at all times.  Other websites have a form that lets visitors submit some preliminary information for a quote, this is an effective way to up your database for sending out specials, email marketing, and social networking.  For online store usage, your home page should highlight and promote specials by featuring specific products or categories.

What matters most to your customers about how your business compares to the alternatives?
Your website needs to differentiate your business from the competition in a way that attracts customers.  Let's face it, in this day and age, home businesses are sprouting up by the dozens every minute.  Everyone is looking to make an extra dollar using a gift or talent, and even by turning a hobby into a business.  So how do you compete when you have 30 competitors on your same block or in your friend list, or in your club, or church?  Well you have to offer something they don't.  Use your site to highlight all of the things you do, and make it visual.  This could be the difference in getting a sale or your competitor getting it.

How much time, money, and technical expertise do you have available to dedicate to launching and maintaining your business’ online presence?
You should think of your website as an additional marketing resource for your business and budget accordingly.  This is why you need to think about if you have enough time to manage it yourself.  Many people in this low economic stage are trying to cut corners and do it themselves, or going by price to determine what they purchase or who does their work for them.  The old adage remains true, "You get what you pay for."  Cheaper is not always better.  On the adverse side of things just because it has a high price does not mean it will be what you need.  Sometimes big firms come with a big price and they haven't given you anything.  Or in other cases they give you everything but what you really need.  Our advice: look for more cost effective ways to get the job done.  We understand your time is better spent seeing to the day to day business and not worrying about your online presence.  That's why we are here to make sure you have time to work your business while we make sure your marketing/advertising/media needs are met.
